About Green Schools

The Green-Schools programme was set up to raise environmental awareness across schools in Ireland. The Green-Schools team and committee were re-established in Solas Chríost in September 2019. We received our Litter and Waste Flag in 2020. We are now working towards our Water Flag.
Every drop of water counts!

Our New Slogan

Well done to Ellie in 3rd class who came up with our new Green-Schools slogan for our water theme! Our new slogan is:  Solas Chríost will Intervene to Save Blue and Live Green! 

Green Schools Water Competition

A big well done to everyone who entered the water compeition run by  Green-Schools Ireland 2023. Ten posters were chosen by our the children on our Green-Schools Committee on Friday 24th February to be sent in to represent our school. Here are the winning entries! Fingers crossed that one of these beautiful posters is picked! All other poster will be returned to class teachers.
